Gypsy tells the story of Gypsy, who has no religion and therefore has no identity, and a Muslim girl Waheeda and their love story. Gypsy lost his parents, an inter-faith couple in the Indo-Pak war, and the orphan was raised by a nomad whom he calls senior. Raised to live free, Gypsy adopts music as his passion, and while he was on camp singing, Waheeda falls in love with him and gets pregnant. They decide to elope, and all the hurdles and problems faced by an inter-faith couple follow the rest of the plot.

From the lush greens and cinematic beauty of Kashmir to the directions and storyline of Murugan, Gypsy is a tale of wonder that will leave you sad, appalled, and with raw emotions about what is happening in today’s world. Adding to this are the performances from the entire cast, especially Jiva, who does an outstanding job in portraying every raw emotion.

Santhosh Narayanan beats bear the film’s ethos from beginning to end, and Selvakumar SK, whose angles and frames are exceptional in places, adds to this beauty.
